Success in Belfast

Fri 26th Jan 2018

It was a case of 2 out of 2 for Design Manager Chris Achilles whose England Team charged to victory in the Billiards 2017/18 Friendly Cup in Belfast last weekend.

With the success of Vienna still ringing in their ears, Chris and his team mates descended on the small town of Glengormeley, Northern Ireland where the winners would be decided over a 2 day event.

England's 6 man team led by Captain Rob Hall (world ranked no 3 player) came through to win 35-21 against a strong experiened Northern Ireland team who had run England close in November's 4 Nation Championship in Vienna.

Chris managed to convert a tough school Saturday into a success on the Sunday winning 5 out of a possible 6 points to help bring the cup back home to Blighty.

Chris is currently ranked 4th in the EABA and will hopefully stay in the top 8 players which will allow him to continue to represent his country once again next year.
